Overview

Renity is a subscription-based laundry management platform designed to simplify the entire laundry experience by connecting households, independent laundry service providers, laundromats, and delivery partners within one seamless digital ecosystem.

As the sole UX/UI designer, I led the end-to-end product design across multiple user-facing and operational platforms. My responsibilities included designing onboarding experiences, subscription management, laundry bag tracking, pickup and delivery scheduling, order management, and administrative dashboards.

One of the project's biggest challenges was translating complex logistics and operational requirements into intuitive, interconnected experiences tailored to different user roles. Each platform needed to support its own workflows while maintaining consistency, transparency, and efficiency throughout the laundry service lifecycle.

The goal was to create a scalable, user-centered ecosystem that makes laundry management effortless for customers while empowering service providers and administrators to coordinate operations more effectively.

Challanges

1 / Designing for Multiple User Roles

Creating tailored experiences for customers, laundry service providers, laundromats, and administrators, each with unique needs, permissions, and operational workflows.

2 / Simplifying Complex Logistics

Translating intricate processes such as laundry bag management, pickup and delivery scheduling, order tracking, and service coordination into intuitive, easy-to-follow user journeys.

3 / Maintaining Cross-Platform Consistency

Establishing a cohesive design language across mobile and web interfaces while ensuring each platform remained optimized for its specific users and tasks.

4 / Balancing Simplicity with Operational Detail

Making everyday interactions effortless for customers without sacrificing the detailed information and controls required by service providers, laundromats, and administrators.

Information Architecture & User Flows

### Mapping a Connected Ecosystem

Before moving into interface design, I mapped the information architecture and user flows for each user group, identifying key interactions, decision points, and dependencies across the Renity ecosystem.

From onboarding and subscription management to laundry bag tracking, scheduling, and order fulfillment, these flows helped me organize complex operational requirements into clear, intuitive experiences.

By approaching each user journey individually while considering how the platforms connect, I established a structured foundation for a consistent and scalable product experience.

Branding & Visual Identity

Designing a unified experience across multiple platforms required a flexible and consistent design system. I developed a cohesive visual language that balanced simplicity, accessibility, and functionality, ensuring every interface felt connected while supporting the unique needs of its users.

Through reusable components, consistent typography, color systems, and interaction patterns, I established a foundation that streamlined the design process, improved usability, and supported the platform's scalability.

Customer Experience

I designed Renity's customer experience to simplify every step of laundry management, from setting up a subscription to scheduling pickups and tracking orders.

By bringing personalized laundry preferences, bag management, and service scheduling into one intuitive mobile experience, I aimed to give households greater control over their laundry routines while reducing the effort required to manage recurring services.

1 / Onboarding & Subscription Management

I designed a guided onboarding experience that introduces customers to Renity's services and simplifies subscription selection.

By clearly presenting monthly and yearly billing options, bag allowances, pickup frequency, and plan benefits, I made it easier for households to compare plans, understand exactly what they're paying for, and select a subscription that matches their laundry needs.

2 / Personalized Bag Management

I designed a personalized bag management experience that connects physical laundry bags to each customer's digital account.

Once their Renity bags are delivered the following week, customers can scan each bag's unique QR code, assign a custom name, and set individual washing preferences. By making these instructions accessible to service providers, I created a clearer handoff between customers and laundry partners, helping reduce miscommunication and ensure each bag receives the appropriate care.

3 / Pickup & Delivery Scheduling

I designed a scheduling experience that balances customer convenience with operational efficiency.

Renity automatically assigns each household a recurring laundry day based on the proximity of available laundry providers, while customers select their preferred pickup and drop-off time windows.

By incorporating a required 24-hour turnaround between pickup and delivery, I created a predictable scheduling workflow that gives providers sufficient processing time while offering customers clear expectations for their laundry service.

4 / Order Tracking & Transparency

I designed an order-tracking experience that connects Renity's laundry workflow with Roadly's delivery operations.

By integrating driver details, direct contact options, pickup countdowns, and status timelines into the customer dashboard, I made it easier for households to know when to prepare their bags, identify their assigned driver, and follow pickup and delivery progress.

This reduces the need for manual status inquiries and gives customers clearer visibility and control throughout the service.

Service Provider Experience

1 / Provider Onboarding & Profile Management

I designed a streamlined onboarding experience that allows laundromat partners and independent laundry providers to register through dedicated account paths. A structured profile setup guides businesses through entering essential information, including their business name and service location, creating a clear and intuitive starting point for managing their operations on Renity.

2 / Availability & Scheduling

I designed a flexible scheduling experience that allows laundromat partners to define their operating hours and identify non-peak processing windows. With options for consistent daily schedules or customized hours by day, the system helps coordinate laundry jobs around each business's availability while minimizing disruptions to regular customers.

3 / Order Management

To simplify daily operations, I designed a centralized dashboard that brings new job requests, upcoming orders, and laundry bag details into one accessible experience. By prioritizing order statuses, bag quantities, and customer-specific washing preferences, I created a clearer workflow that helps laundromat partners coordinate jobs, reduce the risk of processing errors, and deliver more consistent service.

Admin Platform for Renity

I designed Renity's admin platform to bring complex, interconnected operations into a centralized management experience.

By organizing customer accounts, laundry partners, orders, and service-related information into clear, actionable workflows, I aimed to make it easier for administrators to oversee daily activities, identify issues, and coordinate operations across the platform.

1 / User & Partner Management

I designed a centralized management experience that gives Renity administrators visibility into customer accounts, subscriptions, assigned laundromats, and registered laundry bags. For laundry partners, I organized business information, operating hours, performance metrics, and staff accounts into accessible profiles. By connecting these details within a consistent interface, I made it easier for administrators to manage provider relationships, update service assignments, monitor performance, and resolve operational issues without navigating disconnected systems.

2 / Order & Operations Oversight

I designed a centralized operations dashboard that allows Renity administrators to monitor laundry orders, track pickup and delivery progress through Roadie integration, and manage partner payouts. To ensure consistency and traceability across the platform, I incorporated a structured order identification system that combines a sequential three-digit order number with a customer-specific bag batch ID, including the customer's unique identifier and subscription plan size.

Order number: 1234 (Sequential order number) – SMPA12345F (Customer bag batch ID)

The first segment identifies the 4 random number that creates the order ID. The second links it to the customer's bag batch, SM for first and last name, PA for the state, 5 rnadom numbers for having options with the final plan-size code (such as F for Family).

Bag ID: SMPA12345F (Customer bag batch ID) - 12 (12 for green bag, 11 for blue, 10 for red etc.)

By connecting order statuses, shipment timelines, bag quantities, and financial records through a consistent identification system, I created a clearer operational workflow that helps administrators locate orders, investigate delays, reconcile payouts, and coordinate services across customers, laundromats, and delivery partners.

3 / Pickup & Delivery Scheduling

I designed a centralized admin experience that gives Renity control over service availability, partner payouts, and customer support across its subscription-based laundry ecosystem.

The platform allows administrators to configure service coverage by ZIP code, manage preferred laundromat partners, and monitor their availability and operational status. I also designed payout management workflows that connect individual orders and bag quantities to financial records, with Stripe transaction references, payment statuses, and exportable reports.

To support issue resolution, I created a support console that organizes customer and partner requests by priority, status, and associated order or bag ID.

Design Impact

By bringing geographic coverage, partner configuration, financial tracking, and support management into one interface, I designed a more connected administrative workflow. This enables administrators to identify service gaps, review outstanding payouts, and investigate customer issues with the relevant operational information readily accessible.
